To be a super hero...!!!

Back when I was a kid, people used to ask me who I wanted to become when I grow up. As huge comic fan, my answer was simple...”i wanted to be a superhero".

One day upon hearing this mom came up to me & asked, "since u want to be a superhero, have u decided what kind of super hero u want to be?” Well I thought for a while. I couldn't be superman as am not an alien, anyway I wasn't a fan of him either. If I get to be a superhero, I always wanted to be 'THE BATMAN', but of course I am not that rich & I don’t have high techs like Bruce Wayne. And Am afraid of spiders, so getting a spider bite and being spider-man was totally out of option. At last I told mom that I haven't found out which Superhero I want to be, but I assured her that no matter what I’ll be a Superhero & I’ll save the world.

She smiled and pinched ma cheeks and told me that, “sweet heart, I am sure you’ll, then why don’t u be a Doctor?”, I was shocked to hear that, actually I was afraid of Doctors till then. And I asked “Doctor??? Are you telling me that a Doctor is a Superhero??”. Mom said “of course dear, he is. Just like your superheroes he has a superhero costume, secret weapons & most importantly, he helps people in distress and saves the life of people everyday”. From that day, that moment I had decided , that I’ll be a Doctor, that I’ll be a Superhero.

As I grew up this dream grew up inside me. I was always anxious to know and gather knowledge about this profession. Later I was fascinated to find out that this wasn’t just a single profession, this was a whole group of professions, like a Doctor is a student throughout his life who have to be up to date with the forever developing medical field. A Doctor is a teacher, who imparts his knowledge to the patients and the society to create awareness about diseases and healthy lifestyles. A Doctor is a policeman, who fights against evil-social practices, who fights for the welfare of the society. A Doctor is a soldier who risks his own life to protect and save the life’s of others. A doctor is a scientist who always keeps his faith in science and keep on researching and carrying out experiments to take medical field to new heights for the well being of everyone. A Doctor is a world citizen, who has no nation nor races neither religion, for whom the whole earth is home and one family & he serves all without bias & partiality. By then I was quite sure that being a Doctor was never just choosing a profession, but it was choosing a whole new way of life, where I’ll have to live and fight for the betterment of the society.

Mom, like always, you were correct about this too, a Doctor is indeed a Superhero, perhaps the Greatest of all heroes. Thank you Mom

 " now am half way towards ma dream, the next half will be the toughest. but i am sure i will make it, not just becoz am self confident but coz i believe in the people who trusted me, in the people who made my dream theirs and supported me. where ever i have reached now, or whatever i hv become now, wasn't just becoz of me, but it was becoz of the people behind me, who never let me go, who pushed me ahead, who supported me through every step of my journey. 

And there is this one person without whom, i wud have been nothing, my Grandmother. Sadly she wont be by my side to see me fulfil my dream, but b4 she left us, she did everything she cud, everything i need to reach my goal. Thank you Ammama.

 Then to my family for loving me, dreaming with me, supporting me, trusting me, believing me, thanks for ur supports.
